Game 9 of the year complete. Very little I can say but what an absolutely astonishing game from start to finish. Stunning to play, look at and with an awesome soundtrack. Clair Obscur: Expedtion 33 is just a wonder.

Albums of the days (yesterday & today) What I love about the Jedi series music is how it fits with the Star Wars universe but feels fresh. And today, I do not agree with NME that it was the greatest British album the week it came out, I do love the raw, more punky sound of Arctic Monkeys debut.

Game 8 of the Year complete. Mixed bag here. The style and atmosphere of South of Midnight was brilliant. Amazing soundtrack and I love the stop motion. The Deep South folk lore was really good and celebrated the richness of the his heritage. Gameplay was a little repetitive. Worth a look though.

Albums of the last few days: Spent the past couple of days listening to Micheal Kiwanuka’s back catalogue and purchase his most recent album. All for a stunning and full of soul. He is one of the best modern male vocalists and he deals with complex issues around identity. #vinyl #nowspinning

Album of the day: Part 2 of the Sam Fender journey. This is the indies only picture disc picked up from the ace Reflex Records in Newcastle. Oh and I really love the art work.

Game 7 of the year and it was a blast (mostly literally). Doom: The Dark Ages is easily a contender for my game of the year. Fast, frantic and full of exploding demons. It was great to play and felt very much like a trip back to the 90s with a full heavy metal aesthetic

Game 6 of the year; delved into the backlog for this one. Stray is a lovely chilled game, doesn’t over stay its welcome and has a well told story with some nice world building. It also has some pretty cool references to be seen.

Game 5 (and a bit) compete for the year. Completed the DLC for Star Wars: Outlaws (that’s the a bit) some fun elements and the SW universe is a great playground but flawed. Then The Plucky Squire, really pretty and fun, like the Yoshi games. Cool throwbacks and references, mini games are annoying.

Game 4 of the year complete. Robocop: Rogue City is a blast! Love the movies and this got the tone just right and didn’t drag on beyond the point of enjoyment. Lots of referees to the films and just the right tone. Would recommend this one.

Game 3 of the year completed. BioWare’s Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Oddly paced at times but the combat was fun and though the story never hit the heights of Mass Effect an enjoyable romp. Sadly, a few bugged achievements meant 100% alluded me.
