Woke up to a spike of 337 wishlists in one day! Took me a while to figure out why, turns out pcgames.de included Broken Relic in a roundup of point-and-click adventures for 2026. One paragraph in a German article drove more wishlists than Steam Next Fest. Press coverage is a different planet!

Something AAA taught me that a lot of indie devs resist: If a player doesn't understand something in your game, that's not the player's fault. It's yours. Many indie devs get upset that players are "playing wrong." In AAA that sentence doesn't exist. If they're playing it wrong, you built it wrong.

I've redrawn this scene in my game so many times I could paint it from memory. Which is ironic because the whole reason I keep redrawing it is that I can't get it right. I think its done now.

People ask what solo dev feels like vs working in a studio. Its like growing a garden. Every day something small appears that wasn't there before. It surprises me almost daily. The game slowly becomes real in front of me and I still don't fully believe it's happening.

Made a visual progress report last month in Kickstarter so I will do a new one here using the same style. Happy to say that progress has been going very smoothly this new year! I focused HARD on writting dialogs and building all the main puzzles in Act 2 (which is the longest). Back to work now!

Last couple of weeks have been a frenzy, and I didn't have time to post anything about AdventureX. Was able to go only for 1 day, and it was an amazing lovely experience! Met so many amazing people face to face, from fellow indie devs to literal LEGENDS! (1/2)

Just released a tiny update to the demo, basically to remove all links to the Kickstarter and to make Tim walk faster. Some people complained in the past that Tim was too slow, and they were right! Hopefully now it will feel more exciting to explore the scenarios
