My second years had a third level numeracy test today. We’ve done practically no revision because I want to know their actual level rather than how well they can remember something we revised this week. Would you have done some revision? What would the test results tell you?

One of the coolest things about the whiteboard in my new classroom is that I can write straight onto OneNote ClassNotebook pages and the notes/examples appear instantly on pupil devices. All my notes and examples are saved. Everything from every lesson. Wow. 🤩

Day 1. Inservice. Whole school stuff until lunchtime then department stuff in the afternoon. Need to fix my desk drawer and make sure I’m all set for teaching tomorrow.

Back to school tomorrow. Inservice day 1 of 1. Previous council has 2 inservice days at the beginning of term. Always thought it was too much - let’s get teaching!

Technically, today is the last day of the holidays for me. Thank goodness. Back to work for a wee rest.
