The new #StarTrekOnline story episode features a scene with numerous disabled allied ships. Apparently, there was quite some thought put into which types of ships should be present, so I went through and made a list of all the ones I found. Cannot guarantee I didn't miss any though.

Star Trek fans can be so exhausting sometimes. There's an a̷r̷g̷u̷m̷e̷n̷t̷ echo chamber on the startrekstarships subreddit against how Wolf 359 Project & STO depict an Akira at W359. I only ask where the idea that the Akira was a post-W359 ship came from & people just downvote instead of... answering?

Wasn't in the patch notes, but #StarTrekOnline has also just fixed the unique viewscreen visuals assigned to certain bridges. This hasn't worked since they unlocked bridges from ships. Unsure yet if they're still assigned to bridges or if they're assigned to ships that would have them. Cool fix tho!

According to the Patch Notes, #StarTrekOnline is remastering their original 'Negh'Tev' variant of the Negh'Var 😮 I've said before that the Negh'Var is one of my least-favourite Klingon ship designs, but what I didn't say is that I DO really vibe with the Negh'Tev. Never expected it to be remastered!

I've always thought #StarTrekEnterprise had the best Klingon ship designs; maintaining the similar configurations but giving them sharper edges and rigging helps sell the aggressive warrior look in my opinion. Always hoping #StarTrekOnline might some day add max-level versions of the Somraw and D5.🤞

With Excelsior leaving its testing stage, the Enterprise-B was to be the first of an improved full production line. But after an ill-fated shakedown cruise, the new configuration gained uncomfortable connotations, prompting most future Excelsiors to be built to resemble the original. #StarTrekOnline

Had an epiphany about why the early #StarTrekDiscovery ship designs resonate with me so much; they've got this very sort of functional & mechanical look to them in a way that reminds me of historical British trains. The housing around the bussard collectors even resemble the Battle of Britain class!

Definitely skipping this episode & probably noping out of SNW after this season. A few months ago, someone accused me of “hating SNW because it’s not Discovery”. Hey, as a fan, I can admit DSC was flawed, but it celebrated diversity, pushed the boat out & had things to say. All things Trek SHOULD do

I guess my issue is less that I’m not watching everything and more that in 2025, there’s an episode of Star Trek so problematic that I can’t stomach it. The other episodes I’ve skipped, I can rationalise with “the ‘80s & ‘90s had different sensitivities so things seem more problematic in hindsight”

I’m a completionist. Across 956 Star Trek episodes & movies, there’s only 2 episodes I’ve fully avoided, but from what I’ve heard of todays SNW, I really don’t think I can put myself through it Is it really just “comedy saying racism is a genetic trait” or is there anything actually TO this episode?

DS9, VOY, DSC, PRO and LD didn’t always lean on having an enterprise around, there were cameos, but the infrequency of Enterprise appearances in those shows made them all the stronger. The lineage is still around, but it’s not the be all and end all.

Star Trek has a problem with deifying the Enterprise lineage. Yes, it’s a big part of Trek, but I really think we could do to steer clear of it for the next few shows. No 1701, no -B or -G or -F or whatever. Spotlight other aspects of the Star Trek universe.

Finished season 14 of #KingOfTheHill. Although it has some flaws here & there, this is a really strong revival that hits the ground running. My favourite episode was "The Beer Story". What really works about this revival for me is the decision to actually acknowledge the passage of time & have 1/6🧵
