Managed to create a pretty decent facsimile of the FASA Loknar class in #StarTrekOnline using the parts available on the recent NV and Okinawa classes.

#StarTrekOnline have confirmed that next month, they'll be adding the Strange New Worlds ship we now know as the 'Damocles'. I remember quite some time ago, I made a theory-craft for what kind of stats/abilities it might have. I highly doubt it'll be anything like that, but thought I'd share anyway.

The Nautilus class in #StarTrekOnline is quite intriguing. A contemporary of the Enterprise-J, it's meant to be an iteration on the TOS Daedalus, but instead of having the spherical command section, it has a more traditional saucer embedded in the hull and the bow looks to have minimal habitation🤔👀

The Noble remaster in #StarTrekOnline happened to be announced while I was in series 4 of a Doctor Who revival series rewatch, so it gave me an idea to name ships of the class after companions! 😅 The status of each ship is also meant to loosely reflect said namesakes. This was a fun bit of nonsense!

Interesting detail in the Star Trek: Voyager Across the Unknown game is that prior to Neelix converting it into a kitchen, you can actually see the Captain's Dining Room. Its mentioned in VOY that the kitchen was adapted from the Captain's Mess, but it was never seen on screen.

The "Star Trek Timelines" gacha game is adding what is apparently supposed to be the USS Exeter from The Original Series, but is clearly based on the Star Trek Online Exeter Class. Do they even have rights for this? They've got the Reliant & 1701-F, but those are STO ships that were canonised. ???🤔

Its so cool that the 2026 Muppet Show special brought back Hilda, the Theatre's seamstress. It's her first on-screen appearance since 1984 and her first line of dialogue since 1976! Was always disappointed she got sidelined, a costume-designer is so obvious for a show set in a theatre. #Muppets

Very minor #StarfleetAcademy spoilers. In two scenes this week, we see a male character wearing a skirted uniform variant, finally bringing back what TNG attempted in its earliest season with hope to demonstrate the gender equality of the 24th century. In Academy, its not a background extra either.🫶

I've often struggled with the way Klingons have been worldbuilt on Star Trek. They're often pigeonholed into *such* a cartoonish warrior archetype that I struggle to engage. There have only been seven Klingon-centric stories that I've resonated with. There are now eight. 🖖 #StarfleetAcademy

Made a post on the r/startrek subreddit defending the storytelling decision of Star Trek Discovery's "Burn". 🙃 Highest-voted commenters seemingly either didn't read what I said, didn't watch the show to have the right context on what I'm saying, or did neither.

This week's Starfleet Academy wasn't quite to my tastes, and that's fine; as long as they're not doing anything massively problematic, it doesn't need to *all* appeal. Even then, this episode still has a handful of very solid moments and character beats.

I've been so scared the past few weeks, that I've found myself dissociating to a point where I'm in denial. The Ice stuff, the Greenland situation, the corporations (& bootlickers) wanting to replace artists with AI, the anti-trans legislations. How can this possibly be the real world?
