I've seen a lot of people commonly misconstrue horror as "things that scare me." If something isn't scary, then they don't consider it horror, and that feels like an erasure of the genre on multiple levels.

Random 1 AM thought, but I feel like nobody takes me seriously. I get it, I can be lighthearted and goofy. Quite often though I get talked over, I get misgendered, I get deadnamed, and it feels like I'm not wanted in a lot of spaces.

I've been listening to the R6: Siege soundtrack, and while the newer stuff is alright, it's far more orchestral and "action spy movie" inspired than the gritty, haunting industrial sounds of the earlier years. An interesting allegory for how the game has changed over the years, too.
