The Kos Plateau Tuff eruption of the Kos Volcano 161,000 years ago poured pyroclastic flows into the Aegean Sea. IODP #exp398 found the submarine products of the eruption 200 to 300 m thick, 140 km away from source NE of Santorini. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...
