The Cleveland Orchestra mourns the passing of Music Director Laureate Christoph von Dohnányi, who led the Orchestra with distinction from September 1984 to August 2002. Dohnányi passed away on September 6 at the age of 95.

Joe Hisaishi conducted The Cleveland Orchestra in a concert that can only be described as transcendent. His Symphony No. 3 “Metaphysica," the intimate "Viola Saga" with Antoine Tamestit, and a powerful suite from "The Boy and the Heron" brought the audience to its feet.
