I crunched the numbers on my not-very-scientific survey of why people don't plant native plants. 210 people answered this Q. I read through the comments & categorized concerns into 10 categories. Most common reasons were 1) Lack of Knowledge 2) No Time 3) Money 4) No good source for native plants

Some 🌳 species are important to cultures, but this isn't passive appreciation. Looking at ecosystem services + services TO ecosystems, we combined biophysical sampling of trees (122 plots) & interviews (31) in a settled landscape to show cultural sig emerges through active relationships.

It’s official: the US National Nature Assessment has been cancelled as a result of Trump’s sweeping revocations of Biden’s executive orders. I worked with amazing people on this for months. It matters, and even though they can stop the official report they cannot undo the relationships.
