Dispatches on faith, race, democracy, and America’s unfinished repair. Rebuilding what empire broke.
I once needed treatment for what military service did to me. The system could not find me a ride. Tomorrow.

Eric Swalwell: accused to resigned in less than 7 days. Gonzalez followed within hours. That is what the floor of accountability looks like. It should not be remarkable. And yet. Now: every name in the Epstein files deserves the same process.

Orbán conceded tonight. 16 years of illiberal autocracy. 77.8% turnout. Babylon always falls. MAGA copied this playbook directly. Hungary just showed what happens when enough people decide enough is enough. Midterms are coming, America. What will we say?

Rich Logis ran a MAGA podcast. Now he runs a Leaving MAGA support group and membership is spiking. People are doing the math. It doesn’t add up. The question is what the church does when they show up at the door. The running father didn’t wait for the prodigal to get cleaned up. He just ran.

The Swalwell pile-on was instant. The silence about Tony Gonzales was deafening. That gap is not accountability. It is targeting. And while Congress performs, the Epstein survivors are still waiting. Light is a great disinfectant. New chapter Brought to the Light. See link in bio!

Melania Trump called for Epstein survivors to testify in Congress. The survivors answered immediately: we already testified. We already filed reports. We already gave sworn statements. The DOJ still hasn’t complied with the Transparency Act. Pam Bondi refused to apologize to our faces.

April 9, 1945. The Reich executed Dietrich Bonhoeffer at Flossenbürg. 18 days before the camp was liberated. They thought they were ending something. They were scattering it. "This is the victory that overcomes the world — our faith." 1 John 5:4 Babylon always falls. The faithful endure.

April 7, 1994. The machetes started. Over the next 100 days, nearly one million Tutsi men, women, and children were killed. And the world watched. Neighbors killed neighbors. Men who shared bread. Children who played together. What breaks that? What permits it?

The church was handed a recipe box. Not metaphorically. Literally. Specific instructions from the One who fed five thousand people with five loaves and two fish and had twelve baskets left over.

He said it in the temple courts. Standing in the house of the builders. Surrounded by the chief priests and the Pharisees and the scribes. The most credentialed religious establishment in Judaism looking at Him with the particular contempt that expertise reserves for what it cannot categorize.

The Lexington Herald-Leader just confirmed what 257 of us in Boone County have been saying for months. ICE detention here has more than doubled. 72% of those held have no criminal charges. And our Jailer won’t come to Commissioner meetings to answer for it.

There's a pattern in history that most people feel but never name. Friday the 13th. The Ides of March. The crucifixion. The Knights Templar arrested in a single night. Julius Caesar with twenty-three knives in his back.

Today our brother Dr. John Perkins passed on to the other side. He was a dear friend for over 20 years. Mentor. We wrote a book together. Preached together. Laughed and cried together. He is a gem of a human being. My heart goes out to his beloved Vera Mae and the whole Perkins family.

Abortion. LGBTQ. Culture wars. Man's mandate dressed in God's name. Meanwhile the least of these are still waiting. Jesus was clear about His priorities. The question is whether we are willing to follow them

If pastors are saying war fulfills prophecy, we need discernment. Jesus warned of wars, but told us not to be alarmed. The Kingdom does not come through missiles or messianic politics. Christ alone is Lord. God’s name is not a war drum.

“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” But new creation isn’t just personal renewal. It’s a calling. Reconciled to God → sent as ambassadors of reconciliation. Are we living forgiven, or living sent? Live as though it is true.

John had the courage to announce. The disciples had the courage to follow. What does it mean for us to become? Victory is ours in Jesus, but that victory should make us lighter, kinder, slower to anger, quicker to love. Live as though it is true. Read more below!

A professor once called America a “death cult.” It sounded extreme. But what are we sowing? Fear or mercy? Hatred or humility? Whatever we plant, we reap. Seeds grow. They return. If we want peace, we cannot keep planting war in our hearts. Be careful what you sow.

News broke of joint U.S. and Israel strikes on Iran, with explosions reported in Tehran. War is costly. It divides and it destroys. Every kingdom divided falls to desolation. Christ’s Kingdom advances not through missiles, but through mercy and peace. Read more below 👇

When the persecuted inherit power, something shifts. From Constantine to Congress, the temptation is the same, trade the cross for proximity to empire. When faith fuses with faction, discernment blurs. A reflection on history, testimony, and the restless call of Jesus.
