A friendly neighbor I hadn't met before stopped me to talk about the weather and the the air is still thick of the heat but sweet from all flowers and the smell of people gathering for a BBQ. A lovely evening walk through the neighbourhood!

I've added The Walkers: The real Salt Path to my list of best investigative podcasts! Are parts of the famous memoir 'The Salt Path' made up? Just how much damage can such lies about medical information do? And what else has the author possibly gotten away with? Amazing podcast, highly recommend!

Living my absolute best retiree life right now. Woke up early for a bird tour at the local park, took an early nap and I'm spending the rest of the day at a village wide garage sale.

I'm obsessed with my local history society. They've done so much research into the most niche things you can imagine and it's all so fascinating. So many stories in such a tiny town!

The new Taskmaster season is so delightful. Such a wholesome, happy and hilarious cast!! Been laughing out loud every episode so far. (And it's available for FREE on YouTube as always. Just amazing!!)

A very happy thrift day for my DVD collection!🌸 Last Holiday and Gilmore Girls S4 were at the top of my wishlist!! And some fantastic nostalgia kicks in there too. Knofje is one of my favorite Dutch childrens TV-shows (that I still quote on the regular). Didn't even know it was available on DVD!😍

I finished The Other Bennet Sister and it was just so marvelously perfect ♥️😭 Crying actual tears because it's over, I see many rewatches in my future!!

I really want to watch the entirety of The Other Bennet Sister right this minute but I also want to watch it super slowly and savor every second accordingly, it's been a while since a show made me feel this way!!

The last two times we were allowed to vote I was too sick to go and someone had to do it for me. But today I went by myself again, on my bike 🥹 It's hard to see progress in my burn out recovery sometimes when the day to day continues to be hard, but things like this... makes it all worth it!!

Just went and saw Project Hail Mary in the cinema and enjoyed the heck out of it!! Highly recommend reading the book first to get some extra layers to the story (but it's great either way!). The visuals and Ryan Goslings performance were both fantastic!👏🏻

I am this 🤏🏻 close to opening a video rental at all times. My local library doesn't have DVD's anymore, streaming is an expensive disaster and I wish I could share my awesome DVD collection.

I just watched My Secret Santa on Netflix and it is an absolute gem. It is SO, so deeply bad in all the right ways. If you need something to hate watch for Christmas with friends, I think this is the one.

Books are the perfect Christmas gift. You give a piece of yourself to someone special. The person receiving the gift thinks that you think they are smart (regardless if this is actually true or not). They're easy to get and fairly inexpensive. Plus, they're easy to wrap. Give books.

How did I only just watch 'Last Holiday'?? It had everything I want from a movie! Funny characters, kind hearted plot, great cast, super cosy visuals. Highly recommend for around Christmas and New Years! (Because that's when the movie is set!)✨

FYI, your library has movies you can check out for the holiday weekend. They may have toys, board games, or activity kits to check out for the kids and grandkids. The library is awesome and you should check it out.
