I’m so proud to be with thousands of my union sisters today at Tradeswomen Build Nations, the largest gathering of tradeswomen in the world! Tradeswomen are powerful trailblazers, and when we come together, we can lead the way in the trades and our labor movement.

I dunno, Cliff, maybe because people are exhausted from working their asses off their whole lives and STILL being broke? Because everything is expensive and systems are broken and people are saying "fuck it" and choosing a healthy work-life balance?

Sat in on a tele town hall with Cliff Bentz tonight. Questions were screened in advance, in his favor, and he got audibly pissed when someone DARED to suggest they're cutting Medicaid. "People just need to go find a job! Why is no one working anymore?"

I agree wholeheartedly... but they won't. They seem to have proven that their actions don't have consequences, and who's going to hold them accountable? Democrats? John Q. Public? Unlikely.

DOGE’s USDA cuts are beyond reckless. Rotting food at ports, rising grocery prices, and invasive species spreading unchecked? That’s not efficiency. It’s working people paying the price.

Men are shifting right because Republicans are making their lives worse and telling them to blame women and immigrants. Democrats should be pointing out this *extremely obvious* dynamic, not trying to peddle a lighter version of the same narrative.

KEEP CALLING. PEEL OFF ALL DEM SENATORS YOU CAN. ☎️: (202) 224-3121 Tell them to vote NO on Cloture and NO on CR. Vote is pushed to after 1:15ish for now. Situation is fluid. The only public YES votes are Schumer and Fetterman. They need 7-8 total. KEEP CALLING. Call retiring Senators too!

It should be very clear to every Senate Democrat that any vote for Cloture will also be considered a vote for the bill. People aren’t going to be tricked with procedural games. They know exactly what is going on. Defend Medicaid. Vote NO on Cloture. NO on bill.

A quick 🧵: The news of Congress potentially blowing a $1.1 billion hole in D.C.'s budget has certainly riled up a lot of people. But it's part of a larger trend of how Congress's years-long budget dysfunctions have bled into D.C.'s municipal government.
