I think it’s a mistake to assume that fellow fans’ feelings towards the #GoodOmens3 ending are supposed to end in a place of positivity. Sometimes the “acceptance” stage of grief is accepting that you might not ever be okay with something, and deciding to live with it.

I understood going into #GoodOmens3 that it was created under the least optimal conditions possible. I know that for it to exist at all is incredible. I recognize that a lot of love went into it. I can understand that and still criticize the ultimate conclusion it was all in service of.

Even if I don’t want to accept the majority of s2 & the finale of Good Omens as canon now, I still want to hang on to the Job minisode at least. It absolutely got to the heart of what GO is about for me. It’s like John Finnemore was possessed by Terry Pratchett when he wrote it.

#go3spoilers I really want to see the beauty behind the GO ending but all I see is how cruel it was. Killing off everyone's favorite characters without a proper heart to heart and erase their whole world, all their friends, all their achievements to then slap a rainbow sticker over the wound.

We now know that a kiss wasn’t in the script the crew were given. Who knows how much wiggle room they had. Whether that was a Neil Gaiman choice, something Peter Atkins & Michael Marshall Smith decided on, or a mandate from Amazon is unclear. Either way, it’s inexcusable to me.

It’s possible that Neil Gaiman may eventually release his original scripts for #GoodOmens3 as a cash grab and a way to wriggle back into relevance in fan spaces. Please don’t give him that chance.

Right now, to me, Asa & Anthony are the rainbow after the Flood, aka the gesture from God that Crowley sarcastically responded to with “how kind”: a pretty little sight that doesn’t make up for the devastation and destruction of all who came before them.

I have… a LOT of problems with the script for #GoodOmens3, but I loved so many of the performances in it. Bilal Hasna, Gloria Obianyo, Paul Chahidi, Quelin Sepulveda, Paul Adeyefa, Elizabeth Berrington, Liz Carr, and Doon Mackichan all crushed the material they had to work with.

I realize that “they find each other in every lifetime” is a beautiful sentiment. But I didn’t want them to *have* to find each other in every universe. I don’t need them re-meeting time after time. I just wanted them, THEM, to have a life together in one flawed timeline. #GoodOmens3

Yep. I think so many of us believed that they would be able to change the system or something. But, in this case, Aziraphale really just wasted years in Heaven for nothing? Crowley was actually right? There was no point in trying? It feels very hopeless. Very unexpected for GO. #GO3Spoilers

I can see the artistic rationale behind some of the choices in the #GoodOmens3 ending, even if I don’t agree with them. But what’s unforgivable to me is not including another kiss. To me it’s a cowardly decision that makes no sense after the show already crossed the line into physical intimacy.

I just think that the versions with all the trauma, suffering and history deserved a happy ending. I don’t think the take away should be that the only way to get a happy ending is for those things to have never happened to you. #goodomens3

This line of argument will never stop frustrating me. Romance storytelling isn't lesser! Showing characters being physically intimate isn't a waste of time! And more to the point, the show opened that door in the first place. Walk through it!!

One standout moment of #GoodOmens3 for me was Uriel’s final confrontation with Michael. Gloria Obianyo’s acting was heartbreaking.

I think more than the fantasy, is the fact that by still being ourselves, still being the people scarred, traumatized, & hurt and LEAVING the place of abuse to live in our new freedom and love... that's where the catharsis is. The knowledge of what we are, what we became, and how we're free of it.

#GoodOmens3 I am so so happy about these two. I’ve shipped them since Muriel’s character was announced. With the cuts to the finale, I had no expectations that they’d even share a scene together. The moments we got between them were much-needed hits of sweetness in a whole lot of bitter.

I’m thinking back on Good Omens s1 and the scenes with The Them when Adams comes into his power, and how his friends reject his vision. And it feels… dissonant with the ending we got in #GoodOmens3

The resulting cake is edible, with bursts of sweetness, and can certainly be enjoyed by people into its flavour profile. Unfortunately, the icing contains a key ingredient I am deathly allergic to.
