Hey! Yep I ended up ditching Core Data and using CKSyncEngine (so CloudKit only), as described in this blog post:

Hey Joe! Did you figure out how to collaborate by sharing on Hour by Hour App? If so, what did you use? CloudKit only? Core Data + CloudKit? I’m building a simple bill sharing app where two users (different iCloud accounts) can share a group bill and add items. Thanks in advance.

Has anyone here successfully used CloudKit to build an app with collaboration features? Something simple like a to-do list or bill-sharing app where you can invite another user to collaborate. Similar to how collaboration works in Apple Notes or Reminders.

Hey did you know that the two most productive people I have ever had on my teams have been people I was told to fire for performance reasons? This is why it’s so important to: 1) hear context from previous managers but not anchor to it 2) give people clear feedback and give them a chance

I built a small macOS utility for URL encoding and decoding strings for my own use, but I thought it might be helpful to others too, so I released it on the App Store:

It runs in the menu bar and provides system-wide services for quick access.
