This bridge features in my novel, Liberties, as it appears now and the time when the story is set, 1998. It was only more recently that I learned that a veritable Bavarian castle overlooked it until its demolition four years prior to my birth. Glasgow’s disdained cultural reverence knows no bounds.

It’s great to see ‘Liberties’ still connecting with people two years after publication. Fantastic as a writer too, to get that affirmation that the sense of place and time comes over, something I was striving for in writing the novel.
