I've noticed about Star Trek TNG, is that they don't reference things that are in the current year the series came out (still watching tho). And I thought well thats odd but then I really thought about how cringe it would be. Seeing Elon Musk referenced in Discovery really gave me that realization.

The problem with modern story telling is that they want to make it a big hit with what the kids think is cool TODAY! And you may be thinking "whats wrong with that?". The issue is, they dont want to make classics to be rewatched years in the future, they want to make easy money with trending shit.

Just watched Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die This movie isn't about "AI Bad"or"Technology bad!", I guess people can see it that way. But I just don't,it is criticizing the hell out of it for sure, but its trying to tell us something more than just tech bad, you gotta look deeper #letterboxd #filmsky

I will never understand the hate for Prometheus. It was actually the first IMAX movie I ever saw. And didn't learn till just a couple years ago that people didn't like it. I thought it was awesome.

The modern version of what we see as the future is so ugly to me. It's just so hard on the eyes, it doesn't feel very comforting as what people 50-70 years ago saw as the future, aesthetically of course. Currently how films view the future is too sharp and bright (in a bad way).
