Just watching the Liverpool v N.Forest post match reactions on YouTube. N.Forest beat Liverpool 0-3 but the pundits always talk about the big teams no matter what the score. They're all discussing how poor Liverpool played, but if Liverpool had won they would discuss how well they had played.

Just had a delicious double burger at my local pub. I did feel I was going to dislocate my jaw whilst taking a bite. One of the few times in my life I wished I was a snake.

I've been having more pub lunches lately and I've come to the conclusion that pub lasagne will always lead to disappointment. They're usually microwaved badly resulting in barely hot centers and dried out around the pot they're served in. Better to pick an item that will be prepared post order. .

I've discovered the music artist Hether whilst testing out my new speakers. I thought it was a lass singing but after a quick Google search I discovered she was a he. I really like his chilled music.

I'm having some active (powered) speakers being delivered today and I'm just deciding what I should listen to first. I'm thinking something melodic like a Nick Drake track or maybe something more complex like Radiohead's Paranoid Android. Nora Jones's Don't Know Why is also a good test track. 🤔

I've just started the free trial for the BFI (British Film Institute) streaming service. The vast majority of the films on offer are acclaimed works of cinematic history by renowned directors. I've never heard of most of them and no doubt they'll be too cerebral for my very small brain to interpret.

I don't mind Halloween but I hate the tradition of Trick or Treat. It's basically legalised extortion.

I was given this right-handed cake cutting fork at the café, but despite being left-handed I managed to successfully carve up my slice of pecan pie with relative ease.😁

Picked around 1/2 kilo of these sweet chestnuts on my walk to the pub. Going to try roasting them this evening. I first have to put them in water. If they float they are bad and if they sink they are good. A bit like witches in medieval times. 😁

When I saw this sign I thought this is going to be a good experience. What I quickly discovered was the depressing sight of fly tipping. An area designated for the benefit of local people desecrated by local scum bags. People who don't give a fuck about anyone or anything but themselves. Disgusting!

Yesterday I watched a 45 minute video on YouTube (Samsung TV) I made a note of ad frequency and here are the results. 8 ad breaks, 7 of which were sponsored and 1 with skip option. Total ad time 2 minutes 18 seconds not including the pre- video ads. First break after 2 mins then every 5-7 mins.

I visited Warwick Castle today which Madam Tussaud's runs now. During one of the free guided tours of the Castle's state rooms, Oliver Cromwell was staring directly at me. A little unnerving I can tell you. Each doorway was made 60cms less wide to give the perception of a larger building to guests.

I had Chinese dumplings for lunch today. I found a dip recipe online which transported the meal to a new level. Soy sauce, rice vinegar, a little honey, garlic paste, sesame oil and a little chilly oil. Lush 😋

A feral teenager on my estate has just had his illegal dirt bike seized by the police in front of my house. It was way more entertaining than YouTube.

Today I bought my 3rd PS3 this time it's the 12gb Super Slim version and I've now installed a 500gb HDD into it. The next job is to transfer the data from my other dodgy PS3 that had suddenly shutdown during a game which is a sign of overheating.

During my big shop today I heard a commotion and looked round to see an old lady on the floor who had been knocked over by someone in a mobility scooter. Maybe people buying these scooters should have to attend a mobility scooter driving course as some of them are a real curse.

I've been out on my bike early today before the forecasted heavy rain arrives. Early morning cycling is so great when the sun is out and wildlife is more visible. I got stared at by a juvenile fox this morning.

My garden plants are all struggling as a result of the UK's incredibly dry summer. The exception being the herb Rosemary that is thriving in the dry conditions.

I'm disappointed with Clinton's Cards selection of funny Birthday cards. Cleverly amusing cards seemed to have been replaced with crude, insulting, and inappropriate humour. Not one card design made me even crack a smile.

For the last two years crows have been the prominent birds on my estate. Strangely, in the last few weeks all the crows have disappeared and have been replaced by magpies, pigeons, and seagulls. I wonder what has happened to the crows. 🤔

Just been for a pub lunch and found myself wondering why it had TVs showing a muted News channel and non-descript music playing. If they're going to have the news on, at least have the subtitles enabled or turn it off. Rant over, return to what you were doing.

I watched The Grand Budapest Hotel last night. What a masterpiece of film making.

My mum was always telling me off for leaving doors open and letting in flies. I've found that most of the time flies come in but they also fly out. If I have a fly in my room I close my curtains and open the door as flies go for the lightest area to escape. Saves me using that horrible fly spray.

I preferred cycling before the implementation cycle paths. The authorities seem to have labelled cyclists as pedestrians with wheels. ie:- making cyclists use pedestrian crossings. Many drivers now expect cyclists to stay off the roads completely. Cycling has become a stop/start pain in the arse.

I've just replaced my old broken siphon flusher. Toilet flushing technologies have moved on since my toilet was installed. The new one has an adjustable dual flush mechanism & overflow. I've also replaced the scummy seals and bolts connecting the cistern to the pan. I'm feeling flushed with success.

I picked a kilo of blackberries on my walk yesterday. Then I washed them and removed all the insects I could see and transferred them into a bowl. Added the jam sugar and left it overnight for the sugar to dissolve. Just prepping the jars before the main event. 🤞

My first time making Pad Thai sauce today. The ingredients were palm sugar, tamarind paste, fish sauce and lime juice. It didn't smell good but I carried on regardless. I needn't have worried, the final dish tasted lush. 😋

Be be honest, I don't understand the point of recognising a Palestinian state. Hamas will only agree to a Palestinian state if Israel is erased from the world map which will never happen. While Hamas is around a Palestinian state is impossible. Israel agreed to a two state solution in 2007.

Just chucked some bicarbonate of soda and vinegar in my washing machine and started it at a high temperature wash. I hope it works. 🙏

As my neighbour has removed 3 meters off their conifer hedge, I've offered to help them dispose of the resulting waste foliage. Every 2 weeks just before the council empties my wheelie bin I top the bin up with waste foliage. I just have to make sure the bin isn't too heavy or they won't take it.

Today was one of those big shop experiences where every shelf I wanted to get to is blocked by somebody who doesn't know what they want. Then I feel like I'm being impatient arsehole saying "sorry there" whilst leaning over their trolley to grab the item I want. All just part of modern day life.
