The first Doctor is often portrayed as a grumpy old man. But in fact, especially after Susan left, he was often very humorous and gentle. The image of the Doctor giggling inside the Dalek has been burned into my brain ever since I first saw The Space Museum and that's how I'll always see him!

This is one of seven prints that Alister Pearson made for Happy Who Year. He gave it to me as a surprise at the convention and of course I had to get the autographs of the Doctors!

After knowing him for about 10 years and knitting several scarves for him, I finally met the one and only Alister Pearson 😊
