We did a koala spotting walk in a eucalyptus forest near where we are staying on Kangaroo Island and managed to spot some cute koalas in the wild. Koalas aren't native to Kangaroo Island, they were introduced in the 1920's to help preserve them against extinction from humans and diseases 1/2​

Another iconic Aussie animal ticked off our list for Kangaroo Island, we spotted this lovely goanna slowing moving through some shrubs. The specific species is the Rosenberg Monitor, the only type of goanna found on Kangaroo Island. #TravelAddicts #Goanna

In our kayak trip up the Harriet River from Vivonne Bay we managed to spot a few koalas. Most were just snoozing, this one was snacking. 🥰 #KangarooIsland #Koalas

Yesterday we did a nice 4km kayak up the the Harriet River and then back. It was beautiful just being in the quiet Australian bush on the water. We saw a few koalas up some gum trees from our kayaks which was a treat - will post in next video. #TravelAddicts #KangarooIsland

On our mission to see all the Aussie critters on Kangaroo Island, we saw this echidna on the side of the road looking for snacks. If you don't know, echidnas are one of two monotremes in the world, that is an egg laying mammal. They also have no nipped and secrete milk from the skin! Wild. 1/2

This Tamar wallaby just had the zoomies and then hoped to stop right in front of me. These cute little guys live in the shrubs and rocks around the coast on Kangaroo Island. #TravelAddicts

Adorable Australian sea lion pup ran up to us on the beach acting like a regular puppy dog and giving us both a sniff. Pups can spend 3 days alone while waiting for their mum to finish their long hunting trip. #KangarooIsland #Australia #TravelAddicts

Remember that residential cruise ship, The World? It's parked out front of our Airbnb in Sydney. With 165 private residencies it's the world's biggest private yacht and has between 100 to 200 people aboard at any time.
