I got the post-con flu (this is my fault for not getting my flu jab when due for the first time in 6 years) and I'm still recovering, but World Fantasy Con was such a great time.

Today I submitted my first (actually finished) short story to a competition. It's not the best thing I've ever written, but it's my first complete original piece, so I'm proud of it regardless.

I'm going to start making some sci-fi and fantasy book inspired embroidery hoop art. I'm open to ideas/commissions. I, also, embroider shoes and possibly other garments.

Had a trial for a new job today and I'd love it, but I won't know until next week and the wait is going to kill me!

Last Sunday I injured my shoulder at work and now I am missing work because I literally cannot do my job if I can't use my arm (and it really hurts) and my brain is catastrophizing really bad.

This is the first care job where I actually have a break and it’s so weird.

I cooked not one, but two Korean banchan today. Potato salad and gamja jorim. Neither of which was very difficult or took a long time. Next time it'll be sigeumchi namul and dubu jorim. Please tell me your favourite banchan recipes!!!

I told my team leaders/manager that I accepted a position elsewhere today. It was a bit emotional. It's the first time I am leaving a place that I like so much and it has nothing to do with me hating my job or management. It's just to progress and develop more skills.

I just discovered that a book I bought a few months ago, I had already gotten through a book subscription already. Usually I pick it up quickly that oops I bought sth I already have, but this time it took me months... thanks, ADHD

My most recent mantra is: what’s the worse that can happen (if I do x thing). After a week of doing all crazy stuff (I assumed out be bad for me) the result is: nothing. Nothing at all. And the best part: no questions asked cause I’m adult and in entitled to shit decisions! 🤣
