I love the local Nintendo ads from the 90’s. We had a distinct Scandinavian Nintendo culture thanks to the unique material. Similarly, it’s to fun to discover the different styles in other countries. Stumbled upon this French ad promoting RPG’s and adventure games with Mario as a knight.

I remember seeing this at E3 2000. A lot of skepticism back then about Microsoft entering the console business. Sega was struggling and we had just seen Atari, SNK, Commodore, Philips, 3DO exit - would really Microsoft succeed?
