Gotta quote this because it's my field and some posts (like the one by @anothermeekone.bsky.social ) are spreading misinfo Tl;dr some researcher said "I found a vulnerability in telegram and I notified the company" That's all. There's literally no other info besides that and the CVSS score

I should also mention, we don't even know if disabling automatic media downloads prevents it. For all we know, it could be a maliciously crafted message (there have been Android SMS exploits in the past like this). It could be via a sticker. Maybe even a profile pic. We don't know.
