Each chapter of Gildenhammer I narrate for the book club, my voice and delivery breaks a little more. Sure, I could edit it and dozens of takes, but why not give my closest readers a proper expression of how thoroughly the process of writing dismantles me until nothing but a fervid rasp remains?

We NEED to make this a thing. Slurs against people who cannot choose, who simply *are*, are abhorrent. Slurs against people choosing to do the wrong thing for their own benefit are not so much slurs as just correct labelling of abhorrent behaviour. 100% self-inflicted FAFO business.

Finished King Sorrow (Joe Hill, 275k words apparently -- I believe it) in almost record time. Does that mean it was good? Eh. It means it was decent lasagne. I can eat a heap of that shit, but most days I prefer a big salad, a modest amount of protein and carbs, maybe a slice of carrot cake. 3/5

One of the very first things I posted to a huge writing forum on FB last year, after years of author inactivity, was I'd rather see a cover done with crayons on butcher paper than Gen AI. The tools exist for people to not need to be so crude, but the sentiment remains. Support human art, humans.
