The hard part about rereading a YA dystopian novel as an adult is realizing just how young the protagonist is. Katniss may stay the same age, but she feels younger each time, which makes the story hit that much harder.

Book Recommendation: House of Bone and Rain by Gabino Iglesias. Revenge and brotherhood go hand in hand as a group of young guys go after a murderous thug. The more they learn about what happened the night their friend’s mother died, the more they unravel about the horrors hiding in plain sight.
