Candidates with strong quantitative and computational backgrounds, as well as some experience interpreting subsurface geology and geophysical data, are invited to apply. Specifically, the TCCS and QCL aim to work with a postdoctoral researcher to develop machine learning algorithms for subsurface, primarily seismic, interpretation. Responsibilities Develop machine learning algorithms for subsurface, primarily seismic, interpretation Subsurface interpretation Compiling results, writing peer-reviewed papers, formal presentations of findings Required Qualifications PhD in a related field Demonstrated computer programming skills Knowledge of deep learning and generative artificial intelligence models Interpretation of subsurface geology and geophysical data General knowledge/familiarity with clastic depositional systems Written publication and oral presentation record PhD must have been obtained within 3 years of date of hire. Salary Range - up to $70,000.
