The kitten has a nasty eye infection so he got to meet the vet today and we learned he's less kitten than we thought - based on his teeth, he's six months instead of not quite four.

This cat has lived here for four days and learned that he's faster than me when playing so he just runs to the spot he knows we're going to and waits for me. FOUR. DAYS. Also, man, I'm glad to have cats again. I missed them.

Hiwassee, Ocoee, and Tennessee - growing up in Southeast Tennessee had its perks.

Very, very pleased that the kitten will accept a nap transfer from a lap to a blanket nest and can sleep through a zoom meeting. On the flip side, I had to pause an earlier meeting to rescue a plant stand from being toppled.
