Warmly recommend! A superb book, which I read as soon as it came out (rather swallowed, in two days!), and enjoyed tremendously, for its humanity, wit, warmth, evocative writing and great attention to detail – all qualities I associate with Rachmaninov himself!

On Saturday (5.7) I am finishing the Beethoven sonatas cycle at @wigmore-hall.org.uk This cycle already changed my life back in 2020 when I learned and filmed it during Covid times, but playing it live (for the first time!) has been another truly life-changing experience.
