Live stacking enables us to quickly get an idea of what major structures will show on the final image. I use the "Folder Monitor Camera" in SharpCap, in which I can open the folder with NINA data and stack exposures up as they accumulate. It's only a matter of increasing SNR atp. #Astrophotography

The California Nebula (NGC 1499) is a large, rich patch of emission in Perseus, its trapezoidal shape resembling the State of California. The Ha, SII and OIII components reveal beautifully in narrowband filters, and an OSC camera was used to compose the SHO image below. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

NGC7822 and Sh 2-170 are two emission regions in Cepheus, that form a shape similar to a question mark. Using two dual band filters (6 nm Ha-OIII and 7 nm SII-OIII) with an OSC camera, I was able to produce a colourful composite of the area in true SHO palette🙂 #Astronomy #Astrophotography

The Cave Nebula (Sh 2-155) is a diffuse nebula in Cepheus within a larger cloud complex of various nebula types. Two nights of broadband followed by HaOIII data revealed dusty, reflective and emissive features surrounding the nebula in strong contrast with each other. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

I love how easy it is to spot Polaris B even through small-ish refractors. In this 5-sec snapshot during polar alignment you can visually count the pixels to gauge separation from its bigger brother. ~10 pixels, which is exactly ~18-19" given a pixel scale of 1.85"/px😄 #Astronomy
