[1/x] My ham radio boat anchor rigs needing too much work, I thought I would get in on this weekend's AM Rally (amrally.com) on my Yaesu FTDX5000. Turns out; not happening. I put it on a dummy load and scope to look at the AM mod for the 1st time... #AmateurRadio

The AM Rally coming up this weekend got me thinking about dragging out my 100 watt Gonset G-76 transceiver. It hasn't been on the air since the early '70s & I need to come up with a power supply, so that isn't happening this time around. [1/x] amrally.com #HamRadio #AmateurRadio

Been playing with a TIDRADIO TD-H3 & NICSURE firmware. Using it with my home Allstar hotspot (5watt UHF) there was a lot of crackling in the RX. It stopped when I got a block or so away. Long story short, reduced the AGC Table 0 gain from the default 24 to 19, problem solved. For now. :) #HamRadio

It got 'splained to me in forum and on phone that I was doing everything wrong, could not follow directions, etc. Outcome: the guy had typo'd my FQDN at HIS end.
