The first donation to Northern Noshes arrived recently! It's a super-fun one as it's actually three Canadian Jewish community cookbooks that were bound together. What's Cooking? (1957), Food for Fun (1958), and Culinary Capers (1959) were all created by the ladies of Toronto's B'nai B'rith Women.

Found an interesting insert in the Western Jewish Bulletin from 1982. It's a four page spread of recipes each individually sponsored by local BC businesses. The most interesting part is that the credited recipes all come from Jewish community cookbooks out of the US, not Canada. #northernnoshes
