Also I just want to call out - I had SO MANY amazing opponents at Cubecon! Delightful people, tons of high fives, good spirits, and love for cube all around. Everybody always talks about the vibes at cubecon, but seriously - the Vibes at Cubecon are so good.

CubeCon 2025 was spectacular! We had 6 Milwaukee cubers make top 64, including Shariq who was crowned the CubeCon Champion! 🏆👑🔥 I met some awesome people and played some amazing cubes! Thank you to the organizers, staff, judges, designers and players that made it all possible! See you next year!

One of my delights of Cubecon was getting to draft the 100 lotus cube by @poisoneddonut.bsky.social. I successfully executed my strategy of taking Lotus and Broken cards for a clean 3-0. Everything I wanted it to be 🥰

This almost cost me a match - I've got Ursine Monstrosity & Pyrogoyf in play, op has Barrowgoyf in play. We both care about graveyard types a ton, yet mtgo is displaying Creature count in gy due to a Grist that was never even in play. I thought I had 6 types for the bear when I only had 5.

Gonna post more about #Lobstercon later but I'm so hyped on Premodern right now. Feels like if I'd done a lick of testing I could've top 8'd and that's a good feeling. Next year I'll simply prove it 😼. Mogg Squad rising, baby

So my dumb ass thought lobstercon started tomorrow and I missed day 1. Ugh. Anyway, undefeated on day 1. Let's run it back for day 2!

Takebacks are a hallmark of Cube night. I will often not take them myself, but will always allow my opponents. We also do a lot of offering our decks and not a lot of cutting, but this opens the door for the silly joke cut, which isn't my thing but other folks enjoy.

This boi made it into Simic cube out of the maybeboard last night - it was super sweet to play with! Kind of like Nightpack Ambusher's aggro brother. A 3 drop beater that makes bears and feeds the gy is already pretty good, and the fact that this can cheat in Emrakul is super cool
