Checked out the Banksy x Basquiat show at the Hirshhorn museum. I read the complaint the exhibit was too short. I don’t agree! Although I wanted more, I understood what Banksy was saying with the two paintings shown. He didn’t need to over-explain it.

The problem with the art industry right now is too many people believe in fine art as a system and not enough believe in art as a phenomenon.

The sentiment that people shouldn't be physically painting video games and the internet is so far behind, it's way too late to say that. We need to grapple with *why* people are doing it, what the art is saying, how it services online communities, and so forth.
