Rainy day so I finally managed the gumption to paint a bit. I’m in such a creative rut.

Looking at cheese; a woman who I think had a French accent told me this Saint Agur stinky bleu cheese was the best! So even at $30 a lb; I figured why not. Heading out to the drive after a little nosh; the cheese is almost gone with my whiskey sour. Guess that was good advice!

Decent workout today.

Repurposed the last of the chili I made. Created a roasted cauliflower and potato “crust”; tipped in the chili, added cheese and mushrooms! Bam! Also a fresh slaw of cabbage, peppers, carrots, apple with a mashed peach vinaigrette. Cleaning out the fridge a bit at a time here.

Afternoon cocktail; based on a Hendricks Clover Club. I muddled raspberries as I didn’t have the syrup needed. Beautiful drink!

Michael is loving the chocolate banana bread baked lately; so I am all for fulfilling more requests! This batch utilizes my sourdough discard and they are so moist! The icing decoration I just made up on the fly and so it feels a little wonky; but tasty!

As a follow up encore to the pecan pie that has been inhaled; I made a chocolate version today. And added hand whipped chantilly cream to give that finishing touch. Served on Royal Doulton.

Besides making pie dough; raised dough for cinnamon rolls and other goods; I found time to make an organizer for our Splendor game and expansions. The gold coins (dads railroad commemorative tokens) and gems are token substitutes to add some additional geek flavor to the game!

The two part user agreement on Borderlans 4 seems absolutely ridiculous. It was longer than the credits for most movies! 😳
