Today I am mostly walking the District Line. Pleasingly urban compared to the Capital Ring, i.e. plenty of pubs.

The death of linear TV has really fucked the BBC. While Channel 4 and ITV retain their distinct identities, for better or worse, trawling iplayer is like wading through a sea of shit from the latter looking for the odd nugget from the former. The quality is in there, somewhere, but can I be arsed?

Smashing a bottle of Taylors LBV while making dinner seemed like a great idea, but now I'm playing a game of "is it port or is it blood" while clearing up.

After falling down a very odd wikihole, I find myself watching a dreadful 1975 sitcom with Spike Milligan in brownface (for a change) with John Bird. The past truly is another country.

A fair chunk of both #CapitalRing section 14 and the DLR seem to be closed, and the detours have turned more into a Hammers-themed one-man pub crawl than anything else. So, all in all, a resounding success.

The lovely thing about the #londonloop is it takes you through places you've never been before, and confirms why. For those starting from section 1 at Erith, don't worry, it does get better.
