Day 76 - Heat Lock This area is beyond normal levels of hot. It scalds. Anyone without proper gear will burn up. It's the last check before you go into the core. Rolf is waiting here, and will start barking orders to everyone present as he prepares everyone to get to work. #dungeon25

Day 75 - Rolf Taciturn, serious, and determined. Rolf has a job as heatstack technician because he worked his whole life for it. He won't suffer fools who might ruin this for him. He'll only open up about metallurgy, and anyone talking to him will see his painted on eyebrows. #dungeon25

Day 74 - Dressing Room The dressing room is where workers put on protective gear to work on the main linkage to the heat bar. It's a hot insulated room where sounds doesn't get in or out. Lastly there's changing rooms for showering and changing into protective equipment. #dungeon25

Day 73 - Recreation Room Showers Aside from the usual use of a shower room (cleaning up) this room serves as an excellent place for someone hiding from pursuers. Better still, if you're hiding a secret entrance to a runner network, you can use a barely utilized supply closet. #dungeon25

Day 72 - Runner node This runner node runs underneath a cargo line. The runners put it in not only because it has great access to the cargo trains, but also because it is right next to a guard office, which is very funny. It is staffed by Crash and Circuit who like to read, not talk. #dungeon25

Day 71 - Guard Room Here guards convenene to nstart their shifts. They clock in and out here, and check on security bots that prowl the premises. In the corner is a jail cell that no one has ever needed using in recent memory and as a result is just a storage closet now. #dungeon25

Day 70 - Living Quarters Here rest the workers in the heat stack. There's a good chance there will be people here resting from a long day's work, and they store their effects here as well. But their hearts lies in that break room with the rat races. #dungeon25

Day 69 - Dekard Watch Dekard is a vigilant security guard and a committed family man. He'll notice you if you sneak into the his area while he's on guard. When he's not working he's studying for his inspector's exam and talks to his family. And he always has his kid's drawing with him #dungeon25

Day 68 - Cargo Lines Whoops, fell behind, I'll be catching up for a bit now. Here's the cargo line block. It's a part of the transit network that allows goods to move between plates. For people exploring this slice of the heat stack, it's a shortcut with lots of guards. #dungeon25

Day 67 - Work Area Woes Just because there's a lot of people working in the midsection of the heat stack doesn't mean there aren't problems! You might find a loose pack of prize racing rats, some leaky pipes threatening your life, a livid maintenance worker, or a lawkeeper running off. #dungeon25

Day 66 - Parts Warehouse Here's a relatively empty room. It's got very low foot traffic, but lots of places for people to hide. A great place for players to go and cool their heels if needed. #dungeon25

Day 65 - Drop point Here is a cozy (read: tight) outpost for the runner network. It's tied to the runner node network and has direct access to the high speed trains as they move from vertical to horizontal. The trains move their slowest here and making them an easy target. #dungeon25

Day 64 - The Big Run Sear and Tumult down in the runner nodes are getting nervous. Aureia is getting close to their secrets and they want to run a distraction. You can take the job, get a place to sleep, and all you have to do is get 'Crazy Vim' into the train at the Minor Depot. #dungeon25

Day 63 - Office The offices here leave a space for visiting officials, clerical workers, and runners to carry out business. They do their work in the briefing rooms, extra rooms, and walls respectively. #dungeon25

Day 62 - Aureia Aureia is a hub official (though not high ranking). She is in the Minor train depot corroborating reports from her staff here. She is also more covertly checking on her anti-poaching efforts. Aureia is kind-hearted, patient, but also insistent. Stay on her good side. #dungeon25

Day 61 - Minor Depot This depot holds small high speed train that need small cleaning tasks or maintenance tasks to put it back into service quickly. Security is low and most people are focused on their job at hand. #dungeon25

Day 60 - Node: Runner Network Here's a little slice of repose… if you're a Runner. This hideout is for access and rest in the runner shortcut network. The Poachers use it to organize drops and deliveries. They're guarded vigilantly, so players better have a plan before they enter. #dungeon25

Day 57 - Storage closet Here's the storage closet for the break room! Need supplies? It has supplies? Need a secret path that will take you to a shortcut network provided by runners? It has that too! #dungeon25

Day 58 - Ted Ted is a rough maintenance worker that works on the magnetic drives for train lines. He's got stubble and is built solidly. He's a bit rude and stands too close. But you won't notice any of that when his pet rat climbs out of his vest and perches on his head to see you. #dungeon25

Day 57 - Break Room It's the break room semifinals for the rat races and every maintenance worker in this slice has bets down on their rodent. If the players are gonna sneak past them, they better do it fast. These folks don't abide by trespassers poking around in their business. #dungeon25

Day 56 - High Speed Line Here is the maintenance access to one of the high speed lines that run through the heat stack. At any given time there will be either an inspector present who wants to know why you are here, or some runners who will kill to keep their secret (unless you give sign) #dungeon25

Day 55 - Freight Elevator More infrastructure! This is the freight elevator room. It is used primarily to move parts around for the high speed and cargo train lines (and incidental items for the people working here) There's a guard on duty, but they don't even bother to look up at you #dungeon25

Day 54 - storage Basically an empty room! It's a low traffic room with parts for train line maintenance. Some tools lying around will be used to take the train line caps off once firmament building proceeds, a task many years off. #dungeon25

Day 53 - VTF This particular area is a vertical to flat adapter for the heatstack train tunnels. It's at strange angles and has a connection to outside. The tunnels have maintenance access and air bypass like plate tunnels. Hopefully the cap was installed correctly so no one can get in! #dungeon25

Day 52 - Switch Station More of a server room, this place serves as an operation station for switch managers to work as they control train routes. The center column supports a fiber bundle, and as a result technicians are always moving in and out of space, lousy with computers as it is. #dungeon25

Day 51 - Aurora An engineer by day, a runner by night, Aurora keeps exceptionally busy. Despite this, however, she excels in both aspects of her life. She inspects heatstack distributions during the day, and uses this knowledge to set up runner drops in the evening. #dungeon25

Day 50 - Spoke Inspection The heat stack has to dump its heat to the hub, and to do so, heatbar spokes come out that generally attach to heat distribution networks throughout the hub. Someone has to check on it for faults, and it sure is dangerous work (good place to hide stuff too). #dungeon25

Day 49 - PPE Room The Personal Protective Equipment room has hazmat style suits for engineers who need to work on spokes from the Heatstack. The lockers are for individuals and contain person affects, including photos, notes, and prayers. #dungeon25

Day 48 - The Heist There's an anonymous job with some money paid up front. The problem is, you don't know who hired you to do it. They (whoever it is) want you to break into the Heatstack and find a satchel of documents and deliver it to a niche within the Firmament. Can you trust it? #dungeon25

Day 47 - Access Hatch This is a typical "local access" area, so called because it's between the the high-speed and intra-local trains. This access room has catwalks between an 'up', 'down', and 'bypass' tube. But clip in! The wind of a passing train can knock you off the platform! #dungeon25

Day 46 - Bratton, the Guard Bratton is a security guard for the Heatstack entrance, but lacks confidence. He is easily cowed and worries about how he still knows more about his last job than this one. At least he has a happy home life with his husband and two dogs. #dungeon25

Day #45 - Encounters in the Entrance (I fell asleep before I wrote this one, whoops) The entranceway to the Heatstack is a busy, busy place. You can run into all manner of people (and things) from guards, wandering engineers to more violent things like a lost welder or patrol bot. #dungeon25

Day 44 - Stowage Through the hubwise (west) door is a hallway that leads to an engineer's office. It's cluttered and messy, and usually has a harried engineer hard at work. It's so messy they missed some clues Runners left for others. There's a secret tunnel to computer access. #dungeon25

Day 43 - The Foyer Enter the heat stack. This unassuming room contains a secondary security post, a field office and many doors to other places. The signage here is numerous with many directions and warnings plastered all about. Lastly beware the guard and have your ID ready. #dungeon25

Day 42 - Entry to the Heat Stack Welcome to the entrance of the heat stack. Security is paramount, so they actually locked this door. Characters will have to figure a way around the lock, but they have plenty of options. For the next couple weeks I'll explore the heat stack and insides. #dungeon25

Day 41 - The Heat Stack The heat stack is a collection of transit tunnels, heat piping, offices and other infrastructure. It's easy to get lost as the tunnels wind around trying to reach every inspection point. Inside presents constant whooshing of trains and creaking of metal. #dungeon25

Day 40 - The Building Blocks Here is an area of remaining foundations in the firmament. These areas are popular with those who want to remain in the shadows. Platforms of varying heights are connected by bridge and ladder so inspectors can get to mostly everywhere. #dungeon25

Day 39 - Rill, Deputy Assistant Inspector Meet Rill, he's unambitious but also absolutely qualified to do his work inspecting fittings and panels in the firmament. His reports are thorough and on time. He can't be bought, but also can't miss a chance to talk about his kids at home. #dungeon25

Day 38 - Nooks and Crannies The Arbitragers need someone to run traced crates around the Firmament to create a smokescreen against snooping Rangers. If players step up to the challenge they'll need to safely move them around, and the better and farther they are the better they get paid. #dungeon25

Day 37 - The Firmament and You The Firmament is empty, but not lonely. Characters can still find themselves meeting a wide variety of challenges in the open space, from a wandering inspector looking for trouble, to heat lice that are trying to catch a ride. #dungeon25

Day 36 - The Firmament The hub contains many plates, a whole level of the Hub Megastructure, and this one, 403, has been stripped clean. Once empty the Council will spend decades reviewing information and make a decision in how to reassign it based on community need. #dungeon25

#dungeon25 Day 35! Inspired by *ahem* some real life events. A room with one visible orc and like, 20 INVISIBLE orcs. You think you got this but you can quickly find yourself mistaken

Day 35 - Rite of passage The players need info on the smuggling paths and no one is talking. They need to ingratiate themselves into the community by some means to talk to the ones in charge. How will they do it? Spycraft? Hacking? False pretenses? Or maybe they will change sides? #dungeon25

Day 34 - The Heights The Heights is the place of interfacing between the Hubworld and the Foundering, and the cultural impacts are unavoidable. Here in the Heights people are much less orderly than the nearby areas. As a result, the Heights tends to drive culture in this region. #dungeon25

Day 33 - Foundations to the Hubworld The hubworld is a buttoned up place with rules to protect against entropy, while the underworld is comprised of people who reject such rigidness. Everyone is in the Dome together, but hubworld requires registration and checks here. #dungeon25

Day 32 - The interface Here the cache network meets up with the Foundering. Goods and supplies flow through here. #dungeon25

Day 31 - Long under road Just because the network is popular and has the full support of the Arbitragers doesn't mean it doesn't have adventure! Tunnels flood, cave-in, and have visitors. Some of those visitors are human, and some distinctly not. Watch out for drones mapping the tunnels! #dungeon25

Day 30 - Cache you on the other side The cache network is designed to be easily used by poachers, but create a secure place for all of the other hands that run caches. The entryways are unobtrusive, and the dens have tunnels that lead to the network. If caught, the tunnel is collapsed. #dungeon25
