PSA: Bluesky's new auto-tagging moderation stuff is a disaster. Disable it. Go into Settings on the Bluesky site and enable adult content and set everything to Warn at most, which makes posts opt-in. Hide just vanishes posts. Then go into Advanced/Bluesky Mod Service and do the same on everything.

thank you to the people who are not artists and the sfw artists who stand up for us, it means the world. It shows the powers that be that this is a problem that they can't brush off as "oh the perverts are mad they can't get their rocks off".

I don't need to be "protected" from seeing porn, I need porn artists to be protected from being debanked, having their work stolen by AI, being abused for the content of their work, and going broke.

Bsky isn't as big as what it imitates, so if there's a wave of people leaving because of censorship, rest assured, the damage will be much greater for Bsky than for the artists who are here. You owe us respect, we artists who brought a large part of the audience to this SNS.

I'm seeing what's happening with this wave of censorship of NSFW accounts within bsky, and I'd like to be presumptuous and bring up something very important that the bsky devs may have forgotten: We artists don't need you as much as you need us to keep this social network alive, thank you.

dear god just saw how an it looks when someone's hit with the account wide adult content warning and it's fucking MISERABLE blurred icon, blurred banner, every single post is hidden, even text posts, and posts that have images require you to hit unhide TWICE for the text and image, fucking nightmare

Heads up ya'll! with Bluesky rolling out moderation crack down in their new update, please consider enabling "adult content" under your moderation tab in settings. Not so you can have porn on your feed, but to ensure that you can still see posts with the word "stupid" and "hell" in it-
