In the 25th Century, there are various methods to help with a hangover, but none of them actually work like you want them to. I'm lucky I am not at work today. I had fun last night, which is what matters. Be with your family and friends as much as you can, whilst you can. It's important.

I'm blaming you, Curzon, for this. I was invited to a friend's place tonight & I've only been here, what, 2 hours, and I'm absolutely wasted. My friend, Jack, is a bit of a rogue to be honest but Curzon was well known for his exploits in bars so is it any wonder I'm now sat on the floor, drunk.

My nerves are starting to kick in. Ezri also appeared, reminding me she was a captain of a starship and organising a wedding is a walk in the park compared to the responsibilities of command. She has a point. I really need to sit down with Ranih and discuss this all. It's our wedding after all.

It was almost like taking part in a zhian'tara, the Trill rite of closure. We had a discussion, it was really quite surreal. You see, as the wedding gets closer, things are starting to feel more real and despite having memories and experiences of the weddings of both past hosts and friends cont.

I had an interesting experience this morning, something that has happened before but the last time was when I was Curzon Dax. Whilst looking in the mirror, I asked myself what was going on, as some doubts had entered my mind. As I debated with myself, I then saw Jadzia looking back at me. Cont.

Next week I will be visiting a neighbouring colony, Renyim II, 15 lightyears from the Docosie system. The two colonies are quite alike but the climate on Renyim is much more tropical. That does mean that they are more susceptible to tropical storms. It's almost like having a Risa next door.

Throughout my nine lifetimes, nature has always fascinated me and I have explored it in various ways determined by my host at the time. In our garden, we are fortunate to have some of the roses, native to Docosie III. The rose, despite the thorns, is such a beautiful flower. Here are some photos.

//I'm thrilled to have an audience for my writings as the 10th host of Dax. I hope to do a story arc shortly based on the couple's trip to Trill, to explore the ancient ruins of Furrez. The adventure they embark on will bring them closer together as they face dangers lurking within the ruins.

One of the many transport ships arrived at the orbital station this morning. We have a few new colonists plus some extra equipment. It's the same type of ship we will be using to go to Trill in a few weeks. They're not very fast, warp 8 at best but they get you where you want to go.

My fiancée and I are planning a trip to Trill in a few weeks time. We recently re-watched the documentary series on the ancient city of Furrez and I guess it sparked a sense of adventure in both of us. So we are planning to arrange to visit the ancient ruins of Furrez. Should be exciting.

There is undoubtedly an element of bias here but I made a superb Spaghetti Bolognese tonight. Ranih was quite impressed. Both Jadzia and Ezri had a liking for good Italian food and I've liked it since before I was joined with Dax. I do think I should expand the number of dishes I can make though.

Sat outside with a little fire pit. A beautiful evening. It's times like this when my mind wanders through the memories and experiences of my past hosts and often, but always, inspiration strikes me on how to deal with something I am experiencing today.

Ranih made a pendant and earrings set for her mother as well. She was a little more adventurous with technique than myself and so they turned out quite amazing.

I've had a rather interesting evening. Me and Ranih took part in an enamel workshop hosted by Jane, the owner of one of the arts age craft shops in the community. It was tricky and fiddly but so worth it. I made a pendant and earrings which I will give to my mother for her birthday. Made with love.

Oh man that was a busy three days. The USS Venture arrived on schedule and boy what a sight. I got a brief tour with a few others from our Orbital Station. It brought back some memories of my time as both Ezri and the Aventine and Jadzia and the Defiant. I live such a different life now.

As myself and Ranih were talking about Scotland as a possible honeymoon destination, a friend of ours gave me this today. He said 'Try something Scottish.' It's similar to something on Trill but not the same colour. What we have, made a similar way, is called Quoyucpoi. It's dark blue.

I'm working from the orbital station this week. Definitely a change of scenery. It also means I will get a good view when the USS Venture arrives in three days. It's down to me to choose where we have our evening meal at the end of the week. Ranih chose the last one. I have plenty to choose from.

I'm stuffed. Absolutely gorgeous food. I had a dish they call 'The Star of the Show'. Half a pound of slow-smoked Texas style brisket, served with fries with a 'magic dust' sprinkle, gravy & coleslaw. I had a root beer float as a drink and finished with a frozen custard desert 'American Screwball'

It's the weekend again. I was in the gym with Rahin this morning. We did quite the workout and both of us are feeling the after effects already, achy. Just at one of the many restaurants in the community centre having lunch now. Trying food inspired by the American South. Looks really good.

My uncle Jozef is coming to visit me next week. He has a strong fascination with Federation technological advancements so he is eager to visit the colony, specifically the orbital station. His wife, my Aunt Zoatha, said that he is like a child in a sweet shop at the thought of visiting me.

Here's a view of Docosie III from our Orbital Station. The Planet is quite like Earth but slightly smaller. I might go on the next exploration trip to Docosie I and II. Both are desolate worlds, very inhospitable compared to Docosie III. I wouldn't be on away missions but would get to see them.

I've spent all day at our orbital station. The view of Docosie III from orbit is quite beautiful. They seem to have a slightly different style of working up there. It does have a rather sterile feel about the place, being up in orbit. But I did enjoy the change of scenery.

The weather today isn't great but it's normal for this time of year on Docosie III. It's been said by a few colonists that the weather is very Earth-like, specifically Scottish weather. As we are considering Earth for our honeymoon, Scotland looks like a worthwhile visit 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.

From time to time, we have visitors from Federation starships having some well earned shore leave. The Colony has the capacity to handle up to 300 guests at our leisure complex. Apparently, next week we will be receiving shore leave parties from the USS Venture, an Inquiry Class. Exciting.

It's non-stop today. I won't bore you with the details of it all but I've had three meetings already and it's only just gone 14:00. Tomorrow I will be going up to our orbital office. Talk about a change of scenery. A dozen new colonists are arriving as well, so that should be interesting.

Ranih and myself are considering many options for where we could go for our honeymoon once married. Earth has been shortlisted along with Risa and Bajor. I haven't, as Orzal, been to any of these worlds but I have as Jadzia. I do fancy returning to Earth, somewhat more than Risa. We will see.

Start a new week tomorrow. A busy one by all accounts. Not only is there the usual busy period for this time of year but we are starting preparations to mark the colony's tenth anniversary next year. It's remarkable how many different races call Docosie III, home. Human, Trill, Cardassian etc.

A few years before I joined with Dax, Lenara Khan passed away and Kahn was joined with a gentleman called Tarjem. I managed to avoid running into Kahn whilst as Ezri and hope to continue as Orzal. I'm engaged after all and I'm not one for breaking reassociation rules or my darling fiancée's heart.

Enjoying some live music this evening at the community hall. We have a few colonists who are quite talented singers and musicians. Yes, you could use a holosuit to go see anyone from history and from any Federation world but live music is still the best in my opinion.

Here's a photo of one of the trees behind our back garden, looking up towards the beautiful sunshine. It's a gorgeous day and quite warm for this time of year, 15°C (59°F) with a light breeze. I'm taking advantage of time to relax before the busy week ahead. Better to be busy than bored.

I'm home. It looks like I have some work to do in our back garden. The trees behind our back fence drop, like, a tonne of leaves. They are a native tree to Docosie III. Very tall with a wide canopy. Most of the year they have vivid green leaves until they turn red in Autumn & fill our back garden.

I'm on my way home now from Deep Space Nine. Overall a very good visit. Seeing and visiting the Aventine was unexpected but enjoyable. A relaxing weekend ahead & then back to work. I have a lot of meetings next week. Plus the orbital station refit will be finished next week as well. Busy times.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a lump in my throat seeing her again through the docking ring windows. She looks very well. Her captain and crew have taken good care of her. Stepping aboard her again is a strange feeling, with Ezri's memories flooding to the surface.

I had a wonderful chat with Captain Sam Bowers. It was good to catch up. He had the cheek to suggest, as Ezri, I was easier on the eyes. He always did have a cheeky sense of humour. He's letting me have a tour aboard the Aventine tomorrow. I'm looking forward to that.

My meetings went well today. Managed to sort a lot of things out for the Colony. I also found out that the USS Aventine is still in service. Her captain is the Executive Officer when Ezri was her captain. Sam Bowers. The Aventine is due to be at the station tomorrow. I might see if I can say hello.

The promenade hasn't changed all that much. The Bajoran Temple is still here. I have bad memories here as this is where Jadzia was mortally wounded by the monster that was Gul Dukat. Not one of the memories I like having but that's one of the things you have to deal with being joined.

I'm not sure what to think at the moment. DS9 has changed so much since I was last here. Quark's is under new ownership. It's still a Ferengi fella but he bought Quark out. Some guy called Natek. I've left coming back for far too long. But I guess after 20 years things are bound to be different.

I have arrived at Deep Space Nine. My transport docked an hour ago. It's hard to believe the last time I was here was 20 years ago and my host was Ezri, captain of the Aventine. The station is in pretty good shape considering her age. Once unpacked, I will explore the station to see what's new.

Additional... Lakshara is a well known liquor made on Trill by the Timurs family for over 300 years. I happen to know one of the family, Deezell Vox, a joined Trill like myself. She knew Ezri when she was the captain of the Aventine. Dee is retired now and is somewhat old and frail now.

I'm pleased to say that the sun is still shining. We still have a blue sky but with soft white clouds and a light breeze. I've managed to finish a lot of the jobs that needed doing around our home so I can relax for a few minutes with a glass of Lakshara and ice in the back garden. Cheers!!

What a beautiful morning. It's a stark contrast to yesterday's constant rainfall. Pale blue sky, glorious golden sunshine and a delicate breeze. Perfect for a walk along the woodland trail after breakfast. I'm sitting outside with a coffee again, hopefully the sunshine will last all day.

What a great day. Despite the rain, which I've never let spoil my plans, throughout my 9 lifetimes, Ranih and I had a good time in the leisure complex. Tomorrow, I have some essential work related matters to deal with before my trip to DS9. Just so my colleagues can continue things in my absence.

The weather on the colony is nice, especially in the summer months but in winter, as we are now, it's bitterly cold and rains a fair amount. We are fortunate to have this tropical recreation facility.

Well that peaceful pleasant weather didn't last, it's raining again. It's fortunate that I managed to complete all jobs in the garden last week after work. After lunch we plan to spend the afternoon at the leisure complex, with several friends from both our workplaces. Should be a good afternoon.

Well, I did manage to get up from my warm bed. I let Ranih sleep in. I am now sitting outside in our back garden with a good cup of Raktajino. It's so quiet this morning. You can only hear the slight rustle of the trees in the light breeze with the morning chorus of bird songs. It's really peaceful.
