The passenger side windshield wiper came flying off as I drove home tonight in the pouring rain. That was fun. Fortunately it was the passenger side, and I don’t see any damage to the windshield from the arm.

My students make me laugh sending me pictures of themselves soaking wet after getting caught in a downpour to explain why they didn’t come to class. I don’t care about that. But I do care about how they used AI to write that unnecessarily long email.

Finish reading David Mack’s Star Trek Destiny trilogy. One of the best Treks ever with depths of sadness & heights of joy. I cried during his beautiful description of how the borg drones were liberated from the Collective & joined the Caeliar gestalt. Also Captains Ezri Dax & Hernandez are the best.

Finished rereading Mangels & Martin’s ENT novel Kobayashi Maru. Overall I like their Pre-Romulan War duology, though this novel had awkward skips in narrative. Glad Trip is alive but don’t like him in Section 31. Could have used more Romulan society world building, though other novels do that.

Watching the SNW finale. Huh?
