🚨 A 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan on 31 August, devastating communities in Kunar, Nangarhar and Laghman. More than 1,411 people have died and over 3,124 are injured, and the numbers are expected to rise. More than 12,000 people are affected and 5,412 homes have been destroyed.

A week after famine in #Gaza was confirmed, doctors warn pregnant women face severe complications from starvation & lack of medicine. At Al Awda Hospital, 70–75% of 300 women seen daily are malnourished. ActionAid urges a permanent #ceasefire & end to the blocking of aid.
