it's surprisingly easy to add real-time chat features to an app when you've got the foundation down

finally rolled out the feature that notifies you as to what your friends are doing, when your app revision is done, etc etc via email if you're not connected realtime. evil but necessary, but I think we did a really nice job on it and put many throttles so it's not too annoying.

I used to be a video game developer. I don't think ai will replace great developers in a meaningful way but we will see so much slop as they try

I always wanted to make a product that can save the world. I didn't do that. Turns out it's pretty hard.

I am honestly concerned about ai videos going forward. Already seeing them get popular on YouTube shorts without people knowing they aren't real.

I think sora has the right idea using social UI but the novelty wears off fast.
