I'm reading The Glass Slide World and it is so good. These books feature an open minded perspective on things society frowns upon. Here is this thing. It isn't accepted in society but it is still okay and good for those involved. It's a refreshing view and the books are wonderful. #booksky

Apparently I was rude today when a man I didn't know walked into the house (without knocking) and said where is my dad? I quickly figured out he was looking for MiL's brother. My response was idk not my 🐒 not my circus. Something my MiL says all the time. But it's not rude when she says it? Ok.

I finished reading Curse of Ashes last night, and started reading The Glass Slide World by Carrie Vaugh. Curse of Ashes was ok. By far my least favourite of the series. Too much of the book was focused on sex. The story was muddled until the very end. There's another book coming but I think Im done.

I cooked a beef roast for a little over an hour. Let it rest while I threw together mashed potatoes. Sliced it thin, fried up some thick cut mushrooms, made gravy and put it all in a baking pan. Did a little garden salad. I'll put the meat and potatoes in to bake closer to dinner.

what do you mean they don't have the Fat Milk brand in Canada :( I have discovered Vietnamese coffee and I am obsessed. I found a place in Vancouver that will ship the coffee to me so i can make it at home after I buy a Phin filter and some condensed milk.

My mother in law stresses me out. She pays for my nieces cat to go to the emergency vet twice. Pays for her brother's stuff. Takes days off work for her brother. Then she gets her check and says oh my check isn't enough to cover my credit card bill. She's retiring in 58 days.
