Did you know the setting of The Last Guardian actually has an official name? Its name is Ukaiya (ウカイヤ) It comes from the term 鵜飼い (ukai), which refers to a type of fishing where a trained cormorant is used to catch fish and 谷 (ya) meaning valley, coming together to form 鵜飼谷 (ukaiya).

People are speculating about gen ATLAS’ story and are already throwing around the word ‘Dormin’ When will it end.

The amount of onomatopoeia in Japanese has got to be one of my favourite parts of the language. Like what do you mean there's SOTC control definitions called "くねくね"? (wiggling/twisting and turning)

I just checked the script. While the term kyojin (巨人, giant person) is not used, the similar term oootoko (大男, large man) is used by Dormin specifically when describing the three Minotaurs, which seemingly genders them as male, which is consistent with developer interviews calling them brothers.

I don't generally talk about what I've been playing but I finally got through Shadowbringers in FFXIV and holy shit it truly is as good as people say it is; one of the best stories I've had the pleasure of experiencing and the gameplay was superb. They also just added it to the free trial.

Honestly I think if I had the opportunity to ask Ueda-san one thing about SOTC's story it would be about this line. The rest of Emon's speech I can grasp a vague meaning out of (especially if we take into context potential cut content), but this one line is just completely opaque to me.
