Canada needs to take advantage of the newly announced US Tariffs on Softwood lumber. I suspect this action will create a glut of cheap lumber in Canada. Since Canada needs more housing perhaps we need to allow soon to be unemployed American carpenters temporary worker status in Canada.

Given the upcoming US tariffs and expected countervailing tariffs from Canada, and how that will impact the Canadian purchase of 65 F35s? Should Canada just cancel the deal and purchase fighter jets from, actually friendly, countries in Europe? Sweden, perhaps?
