This study found much more pyrogenic carbon (not biochar but often compared to biochar due to some similarities) remains in a grassland than litter carbon. Pyrogenic carbon persisted more as particulate organic matter than mineral-associated organic matter. Thoughts? www.nature.com/articles/s41...
