“Thank goodness I can count on you to watch over the card. Thank you for being such a good ally. I’m glad we’re friends. If you ever need my help patrolling the city let me know. I always support my friends.”

“Nice to meet you! Do you mind if I ask what your name is?” The blonde had been trying her best to fit in with their world. In her eyes that meant talking to fellow travelers or stopping at Pokémon centers. Hopefully Leaf didn’t mind.

She sighed and shook her head. “Is that what happened? I guess I’m not surprised that a bandit had it. My card is pretty valuable to most people. I’ve had people sell my card for profit, and others who have tried to use my power in duels. Thank you for helping stop that bandit. I appreciate it.”

“My card is actually very valuable to most people. If anything they keep me safe on their own accord. I have never once came across someone who tried to rip my card up. If it got too bad I could always just .. you know ..” She then mimics the action of her taking her card away from another’s hands.

Her costume had what appeared to be hidden pockets. She reached into one of them and eventually pulled her card out. The young mage offered the card to show him. “Here it is. I usually carry it on me. It’s not in as much danger as one would think, but I appreciate your concern.”

She looked down at the card and then smiled. “Hey yeah! That’s me. That’s my card! My spirit is bound to that card.”

Oh yeah! She totally forgot about introductions at first. “Nice to meet you Yamato! My name is Dark Magician Girl.”

She tapped her chin in thought. “I guess I am getting a little hungry. Maybe we could walk around and find a place to eat?”

“Do you have any place in particular you want to go to?” She would ask curiously.

She smiled and shook his hand. “Of course! The more friends the merrier. Especially in the multiverse like this.”

“Sure! We didn’t get a chance to hang out yet. It will be nice to spend some time together.” The young mage seemed glad to get an opportunity like this.

“I remember having a good time with you the last time we talked. I was hoping we could hang out again! Would that be okay?” She didn’t know if he was busy or not, but she was honest with her words.

Growing up in ancient Egypt, one could imagine that most technology was lost on her. Regardless, she offered a polite smile. “Thanks, I’d like that. I’m sure the melodies from them would be just as great as any other music.”

“You think so? I guess it is a pretty nice story. I was very fortunate to have such a great pair of friends.”

Yes she was, and good, because she is currently flying at him. “Reala hi!! How have you been?!” The blonde was happy to encounter him again.

She nodded. “Yes. We grew up together. We were childhood friends. I was fortunate enough to be allowed close to the throne. Eventually me and another friend of mine became special guards. We protected both our friend and our home together.”

“Classic rock is great! I’m also a fan of pop. Not sure what you mean about gaming soundtracks though.” She’s not a gamer, so she never got the chance to listen to any good game tracks.

“A place like that sounds amazing. What kind of music do you like?”

“Are you sure? I would hate for it to cause any kind of trouble.”

She tilted her head as she watched the flames. “That’s interesting to know. My best friend Atem was our pharaoh. So even though I didn’t get the perks of royalty, I was still very close to the royal family. I stayed at the palace plenty of times.”

“That sounds fun. It’s been a long time since I had a moment to enjoy the quiet. Do you meditate? Or do you just find a decent quiet place.”

“Oh wow! So there are others out there who are like pharaohs. What is being the descendant of a king like? Do you get the same perks as royalty?”

“That’s great! Did you do anything to celebrate your new form of freedom?”
