I'm in Périgueux today. I just walked back to my room with groceries from the local market they hold on Saturday. Going to cook myself some brunch. It was maybe a little more pricey than a grocery store. But still cheaper than a Kroger back home. Just... Yeah

Lots of conversations have happened with locals. Frequently get asked where I'm from, my accent is awful and I've only been learning French for 3 months, so I grimly admit the US. Some have joked with me, but most cringe with me. They don't blame those of us who aren't like THAT.
