Just realised that I forgot to post this image from 11 May. This is the less often imaged NGC 4725, which is actually quite a pretty galaxy in Coma Berenices. I only managed a couple of hours of imaging time on it. #science #deepsky #astronomy #pixinsight #astrophotography

I finally finished processing my latest 🔭 capture of #M63, the Sunflower Galaxy. This spiral beauty is located in the constellation Canes Venatici and is famous for its "flocculent" appearance—those patchy, petal-like spiral arms. A bit of bloating in the stars, which I'm not so pleased with 🙁

My final work on Markerians Chain 🔭 a striking stretch of #galaxies that appear to curve through space. While they look close together from our porch here on Earth, this "chain" is a massive collection of elliptical and spiral galaxies sitting about 50 million light-years away. Hope you enjoy 🙏

Have been playing around with Gemini to see how/if it could improve on any of my images. For #M51 it did a good job, IMO, however, for the #Jupiter image, it essentially "hallucinated" high-resolution textures based, my original image and on its training data of Jupiter. 🔭 What are your thoughts?

Spent this morning setting up the new equipment to the William Optics Z73 scope. So pleased that I can now organise all the cabling nice and tidy. With that done, I just need some clear skies to focus and tune it all now, The forecast is not looking good for the next few days/nights.
