I'll be honest, I use ChatGPT in game development. I haven't worked in Unity in 3 years so the references is helpful especially with the heavy math stuff. (Did a in code animation) I am learning how to do these things myself slowly but surely. My goal for next mechanic is no AI help. #GameDev

Funny looking back at an old project (for reference) and seeing how over engineering is actually just bloating and technical debt cause you don't need 90% of the junk. Build as needed, otherwise you'll make a mess in most cases.

Opened up an old, ambitions RPG game I was working on two years ago in Unity. Turns out everything still works in Unity 6, except the dialogue but I think that was broken. Scraping the game mechanics to use when I enter a game jam end of the year. So glad I decoupled as much as possible. #Gamedev

I see a lot of programmers who like using big words for simple concepts. Probably not the case for everyone but just keep in mind you might be making your content less accessible, but maybe you only want to interact with your fellow fancy vocabulary peers which is cool too. No hate to you folks :)

I have a prediction for 2030 that I am convinced will be 100% wrong The cost to run AI will be too high and funding will wither out. It will be unable to keep up with the user load and essentially die by its own success, AI will exist in labs and internal businesses with a very focused dataset.
