They plan to move children close to the border so they are both far from their appointed Child Advocates/attorneys and separated from any support systems/relationships they've built in detention. A scared, lonely kid is easier to pressure into self-deportation. Illegal flights are harder to stop.

Today, I received notification of another death in ICE detention –– the 51st death in Trump’s second term. These private, for-profit detention centers have been riddled with reports of neglect, rotting food, and a lack of water. There must be accountability now.
