I think video game fans should consider pulling back on comparison as a whole. All art inherently exists in the context of what you've experienced before, but that doesn't mean you have to use existing pieces as a benchmark. Indie Games in particular I think would really appreciate some isolation.

In 2D Mario platformers, Mario can either crouch or slide, but is denied the ability to sit in place. However, with a specific setup in Super Mario Bros. 3, Mario will come to rest in a sliding animation, finally allowing him to simply sit.

Played some Shadowverse for the first time in a few months- still a very good game, and I opened a neat full Premium pack. Gotta say, Rhinoceroach is one of my favorite cards in any card game, but he's starting to feel like a bad design, lol. I can't really see him getting dethroned at this point.

As someone who has never finished a Metroid game but has looked at spoilers for Dread and Prime 4, holy cow these games have the most abrupt and least satisfying endings in all of video games, at least from a story perspective. Both are genuinely shocking, especially Prime 4. It just stops, lol.
