Lots of birdsong at Thornborough Henges last night. More skylarks than Iβve ever seen in one place + mippit, curlew, grey partridge (lifer). Plant life included Green Alkanet, White Campion, Tufted Vetch, Crosswort, and Greater BFT

First time volunteering at

NR yesterday and we had an Osprey overhead at several points through the day as well as Northern & Southern Marsh Orchid, and Common Spotted Orchid. Another visit this eve gave 2x female marsh harrier and a booming bittern (heard only)

CLP for the glossy ibis. However singing skylark seems to be an early sign of spring and a smashing sausage sandwich at Bonnies

π 15.02.25 quick trip to Grimley CLP and Hallow STW (too far to cycle) in hopes of glossy ibis. No luck unfortunately, but chiffchaff, g.w. Egret, oystercatcher, and grey wagtail make 4 nfy and yellow browed warbler is a lifer!
